What you are trading

An index distils an entire equity market into one number: the Dow Jones 30 follows thirty large US companies, the DAX 40 tracks Germany's biggest listings. An index CFD trades that number directly — you take a position on the market's direction without owning any of its components, and you can be short a whole economy's benchmark as easily as long.

Why trade indices at Dynasty

  • Diversification built into the instrument

A single company's bad afternoon moves an index by basis points, not percentages. The position is a view on the market, not a stock pick.

  • The macro trade, directly

Rate decisions, jobs data, and earnings seasons move indices first. If your analysis is macro, this is its native instrument.

  • Fractional index lots

Lots from 0.1 let position size match conviction without oversizing the account.

  • Session times you can plan around

Each index follows its exchange calendar, published per instrument in the specifications.

Each index follows its home exchange session, stated per instrument in the contract specifications in GST. US benchmarks are most active from 17:30 GST; European indices from 11:00 GST.

GST does not observe daylight saving. Session times for overseas markets shift by one hour when their regions change clocks — typically late March and late October.
