Standard, if you want one number
You pay the spread and nothing else per trade. Costs are predictable without arithmetic, which suits discretionary traders and anyone who values simplicity over the tightest possible raw price.
Professional, if you trade volume
Raw spreads plus a fixed commission per lot usually total less at higher frequency and size. If you run algorithms, scalp, or trade large, the commission arithmetic works in your favour.
